Looking for feedback from anyone who has these tires or knows someone who has. I bought a set last year right before the takeover. They are a really heavy tire, but other than that I have been very happy with them. Very smooth ride for an aggressive lug. However, I just got this pic from my local dealer. I dropped it of last night to get the 200 hour service done along with all fluids. Traveling this week and knew there is no way I'd get it done this weekend. Has anyone seen or heard of dry rot like this on these tires? His comment was "quality Chinese rubber". I didn't realize they were made in China and not in the US before I bought them. It was actually hard to find, but I did confirm they are made in China.

That's a pinch from the rim cutting into the tire when you hit a rock hard.

Too little air pressure, I did the same to one of my tensors running 8 psi.

I set them at ~14 for the takeover and ever since. Just dropped them to 10 last week, but only ran road routes for one day.

Think so? I would think an 8ply tire would not pinch like that. But I did run it really hard and pretty fast last Fall on a wide range of terrain over a few days. I guess the aren't as bullet proof as I thought. Lol. If that is the case, I prob would have toasted one of the stock bighorns completely, so maybe I got lucky.

Funny you say that. When I pinched mine, two other guys had cuts and pinch flats too. The fourth guy running big horn 2.0s came away without a scratch.

What size outbacks do you have? I am considering some 30's for the winter.

I have 31” on mine and my buddy has 30” on his. We both love them and have had no issues either. We both also ran 28” Outback Max before these sets.

I've always loved mine too! Was surprised when they sent me that pic. It's my buddies shop/dealership. But I'm on the road for work right now, so haven't seen it up close yet. Dont

Yeah. When you run fast in the rocks you need to bump up the psi. One reason I'm not crazy about 14" and 28s not alot of sidewall for these heavy rigs.

We both run 12psi front and rear with no issues but we don’t encounter many rocks here. We do trail and mud rides and rarely get over 20-25mph.

I would be at 10-12. I've pinched at 12psi before on a 28" probably a fluke but it happens.

Yeah, like I said earlier I've been running them at 14 since I put them on. Just dropped to 10 last week, but only did 50 miles since and literally all road routes. No idea how long the cuts have been there.
