I emailed STI and asked about side wall construction of the Roctane XD knowing that many UTV tire side walls a just 2 ply...they responded that the ENTIRE tire is 8 ply contruction including the side wall...that confirmed my choice.

If tough construction was you’re number one goal then you should look at some of the 10 ply tires.

Thanks,I've looked at some and STI's X2 and X Comp are interesting but for now I'ld like to stay with the 9/11 front/rear and not make any suspension changes.

28’s were ½” taller at 9psi no “stretch” but they were 12” rims.
If I'm reading right, did you have 28 inch evo on a stock 12 inch wheel? My 1000 is stock and I'm wanting to put 28x10x12 evo on it but dont know if they will clear the trail armor skid plate on the fronts. I dont wanna trim them. I would rather just get 27s instead.

700-4 had the 28” Evos, I believe 28” Tires will fit without a-arms or a lift. Skid may rub slightly and need to be trimmed.
