P1000 Still waiting…

I live in north Idaho and put a deposit down on a P-1000/5 SE on 7/1/2021. My salesman called me the day after the new models were announced and told me since my model was discontinued, which one would I want I told him I’d take a Forest and he assured me I’d be first in line. i later went in and he said he had received the VIN and it had a delivery date of May 31. Since then it’s been delayed to June 30th, then July 31st and now August 31st. Am I getting screwed or is this just what it is? Are there any options or just be patient?

I wouldn't trust that guy as far as I could throw him!
You have to do a little work making calls and maybe a few miles, by doing this, u would have had ur rig last yr! So get crackin!! You are one patient dude Dealing with that dealer!

I wanted to post an update: I did call around after my last post and couldn’t find anything within 5 hours and I talked to another dealership (Spokane Valley-very helpful) and they confirmed what my salesman said so I waited. I got a call yesterday and he said he has a VIN# and it left Kansas City on Wednesday so sometime next week! I’m cautiously optomistic…

I drove it! The salesman said most people do. Went and paid for plates and off-road sticker for two years ($32) and I’m totally leagal!
