I did check with DMV and they don't register quads or side by sides for on road use, they do allow a person to build and register specialty vehicles/kit cars it would not be cost effective and they only allow a few of those each year.
So I'm done thinking about it not worth the effort.

That is clear and concise coming from former LEO, it isn't possible to register a Talon street legal in California.
Just so you know I never once mentioned skirting the law or breaking any law, that was assumed by others . My Talon is registered off road with the Ca green sticker and I'm very aware of the penalties for using off road vehicles on public streets or highways.
By the way that's a nice airplane looks like a Citabria.

It's a 2005 Aviat Husky A-1B, similar to Citabria, but with better short field, climb and all around bush plane performance. The Citab is better for light duty aerobatics. They are all a lot of fun. Non-serious med conditions had me selling my Mooney 201 and Schleicher ASH26E recently. I do miss soaring a lot. Requisite photo, (or it didn't happen). Flying in light "mountain wave" over Douglas County, NV (home sweet home to me).

Yeah…..Unfortunately that is not a possibility in CA. CA has strict guidelines as to what is deemed “street worthy.” In fact laws have just gotten worse this last week with states new small off-road motor ban which goes into effect 2024 for new vehicles and tools using small gas motors (chainsaw, gas trimmers, generators, pressure washers, small off road motors under 25hp and even gas powered golf carts). If you want street legal would have to look at an electric NEV. Hell even there KTM can’t get their electric free ride bike street legal. Rx. Moving at least one state over to the east.

I heard an unverified rumor a day or two ago that the Socialist Republic of Kalifornia was banning bacon because hogs are mistreated on mid-western hog farms. I would have ignored the rumor but it was prefaced with "in Kalifornia . . . " so I figure chances are good it's true.

Had 2 buddys when they got out of the Marines at Camp Pendleton they each took a civilian job there on the base and had to buy l or rent civilian housing. Said that was the biggest mistake they ever did and got out asap. The cost of living was so bad they could barley support there family with the jobs they took even with the wifes working. Total joke to live there!

That one also partially true. Hogs and other type of livestock are to have by law a minimum set of square footage. Do not recall the amount but was just ridiculous. Local farmers have fought to no avail and many are not able to continue business as written. That has caused prices to soar. This of corse on top of $5 gal gas, and shipping/supply issues. Getting closer to 3rd world every day.
