Getting ready to do my first oil change. Sent my wife to the local Honda dealer to pick me up some Honda GN4 10-30 oil. She came back with Honda fully synthetic HP4S 4 stroke Motorcycle oil. She said they didn't have the gn4 10-30 on hand but the parts guy recommended the synthetic and that's what I should use. I'm sure I can use this oil it is a JASCO T 903 oil but at $47.21 for 4 quarts its spendy. I can see an advantage of the synthetic living in MN. with the Extreme temp ranges that we have I could run it year round. How about a poll? What oils are Members using?

10-30 HP4S. Next i am going to try Amsoil 0-40. Nothing wrong with the Honda stuff...just want to try the Amsoil. The only reason not to use synthetics is cost, and even that isn't so much anymore...

Been using amsoil for almost a decade. Definitely good stuff. Won't use anything else.

is there a place to get it in barrels for a good price?

My truck takes 9.5 quarts per oil change and at 10-15 a quart for 0-20, if I can get it for 30 a gallon it'd be nice.

I put in the amsoil ATV 0-40. I used it in my can am and it was real smooth. Funny thing was manual states 3.1quarts 4 came out took 4 to satisfy the dip stick.

I changed the oil last night and used the full syn Honda oil and also changed my rear diff to Mobil one. I notice a difference in the way my pioneer shifts and runs. Seems quite a bit smoother than before.

I've used Amsoil since it first came out. great stuff. I'd make sure the engine is broken in (say the second oil change) then switch to Amsoil for all the benefits it provides.
