With the rear wheels off the ground the rear radius rods will feel like they have play.

We've been told this is normal by Honda and has been shown to exist on brand new units.

What sort of issue are you having.

When turning hard to the left in a traffic circle I hear a loud thump thump thump, I at first I thought it was a cv joint/axle but all checked out, took it to a dealer and they gave me the radius rod bushing scenario, said I should be good. Well I am not convinced they made the right call, the thumping is getting louder after every outing I go on. All of the radiius rods all have the same amount of play, all the rubber looks good etc.??? Wheels are tight.?? The machine has been treated gently, although it has seen some ruff mountain trails. I'm 79, no death wish.

Welcome to the site from the once great state of Colorado.

If it's a sharp, metallic clicking, like those clicker toys we used to play with, it's most likely an inner, rear CV joint. For reference, my LR inner started clicking at about 7800 miles, then the boot started flinging grease at about 8000 and I replaced the boot and CV at 8157 miles.

I wrote a how to about changing the CV in What Did You Do With Your Talon Today thread. There's also a linked video there showing you how to do it from another Talon owner.

The link in my sig will take you to some basic Talon information if you haven't seen it. It's also a sticky in the General Talon 1000 Discussion forum. New Talon Owners - First Things to Know and Check. But there's nothing in there pertaining to this problem.

Like @CID said, it's probably a CV joint. Which is pretty common on the rear of the Talon.
