Talon Bed Extender/Spare Carrier

Hey Guys!

New to the forum with a 21 Talon R.

Would like to get a bed extender/spare carrier.

Heard great things about Dirt Road Fabrication but its really far out.

The Horizon Off Road looks pretty good too.

Any thoughts on either or any other options?

Don’t want to extend out the rear too much but really like the idea of having some more weight in the back down low.

Three or four (at least) members with bed extender tire racks have also upgraded shocks with great results, may wanna include that into plans. I have the DRF one and am still 100% glad I got it. No issues at all other than ensure you don't buy the Rotopax cans with the goofy twisty bottom thingy. 3 gal is fine, tho.

Upgrade the shocks even with Live Valve?

I am reluctant to start messing with those and throw the computer calibration of them off. Or does it compensate automatically when you have made changes?

Will the bed extender confuse the Live Valve system?

Its the Fox shocks in general. they buck hard to start with. The LV are slightly differnt but still do, the major diff is that u can adjust them in your cab.
if u dont want the rear going out further for a tire rack, look at one with the tire rack on the top of the cage and a small rack for the back. i have a small rack for sale if ur interested

Thanks CID. Your write up was one of the reasons I was strongly considering it!

I ended up ordering a J Sport spare carrier because I liked the way it looked and didn’t want to wait. I will follow up with my impressions of it when I receive it!
