Howdy from Texas!
I have had a 700-4 for years and love the machine. Just picked up a new to me 2016 1000-5 with 270hrs and 2,212 miles on it.
There is a whine that has me concerned that it might be more than the usual gear mesh whine I have read about.
I used a mechanics stethoscope to try and pinpoint the noise and I started to build a theory that the starter is not disengaging but this could very wrong since I have little experience with this setup.
Video with sound. There is a slight metallic rattle that can be ignored, I had the bed flipped up and tools laying in the floorboard.
Edit: video from another angle.
Looking forward to learning and sharing!
Thank you.
