The dealer Said to not worry

parked on side of hill and when I turned the wheel all the way and I started moving a very very load pop happened. Anybody familiar with this? It happened a few times not just once

could be an axle popping. they do that when old or wore.

Nope was in turf

Sounds like it’s time to check your drive mode shift box. Sounds like your 2wd collar is not disengaged enough even though your lever is in turf mode.

Yeah, it's more likely that the sound came from the rear diff. The Pioneer goes to 2wd lock in park. When it went back to turf, you had a loud pop from 2 lock disengaging.

Follow this procedure, it should engage/disengage in 1/2 turn of the tire.

P1000 - Rear Differential Adjustment

I have seen a lot of posts about Pioneer's making a clanking/banging sound when shifting from 2WD to Turf Mode. I have made a video detailing how to fix this and what causes that. Please like and subscribe and I hope this helps some of you!

No it was in 2 wheel when it started and when I put it in turf and the pop wasn’t as loud

It’s not uncommon to have the cables out of adjustment from the factory. I’d make the dealer correct it since it is so new.

it’s not something that is normal on a P1k5.
