Just wondering if someone can tell me if the 2022 Pioneer 1000-5 tie rods and ends will fit on a 2021 Pioneer 1000-5? I thought I remembered reading that somewhere, but couldn't find it. It also looks like the 22' model only has one end that works on both left and right sides. Just wanted to make sure tie rods and ball joints from the 22' will work on a 21'. Thanks

Few guys around here have swapped over. Not 100% sure but maybe
@TripleB
@ToddACimer
I think @Homer might've changed them also. I'm sure some of them might help you out.

Good luck

Thanks guys. I'm just wanting to get some spares to have and they look a bit beefier.

I don't know how good they would work for spares, I believe they're not compatible at all with the previous models. I think you'd have to change 100% over to the new design and then carry spares for that.

If you're just wanting some spare parts then I'd stick with the matching ones you have now. Ronayers.com has OEM stuff pretty inexpensive. I think I got all nee ball joints and 2 spare tie rods for about $100.

Ok. Thank you. I got a gift card to local Honda dealership and thought I'd get some spare parts. Maybe I'll just stick with 21' parts.

I swapped both of my machines to the new tie rods. I carried my old complete tie rod with me for a spare until I got some spare updated tie rods. I've not bent one of the new ones yet.

So I'd be able to swap the new 22' to a 21' without changing anything else? Like the steering rack or steering knuckle? Didn't know if the threads on the rack end and ball joints were same size.

Perfect. Thank you all for the responses. I did see the additional parts in the breakdown. BTW, I enjoy seeing your trail pics you post. I'm hoping to make it down to Takeover at some point and ride some actual mountain trails. Mostly flat everywhere I typically use my Pioneer.
