Why would Honda not have the speedo calibrated accurate?!?I checked top speed on mine this weekend. Speedo says 66 mph, but gps is 61 mph.

My 700 was only .5 off at the top. Either they wanted this to look faster then it was, they planned on larger tires, didn't bother getting that accurate or possibly the gps didn't have full strength on three satellites. 60 is fine with me considering I couldn't do 50 in the 700 but it's irritating and I'll hopefully check on that tomorrow
If mine ends up being 5 mph off I'm taking it back! I mean what I'm paying for this thing it better be dam near perfection! Otherwise I'm buying something else for $20000 that we'll have a accurate speedometer.Maybe it wasnt a good signal or it didn't have time to catch up to real speed before he slowed back down? 10% is a lot. Maybe his tires were under inflated? Maybe a combination of all of the above.
We need another GPS test so it stays at top speed long enough to get a good GPS reading. If slow usually one tire size larger makes it spot on. My 700 is really close. My Pioneer 500 is 2.5 mph off.Hey everett awesome idea on that! Never looked into one that'll work great good idea for tire sizing. Still not happy if it is off but that's a fix!
