My 700 was only .5 off at the top. Either they wanted this to look faster then it was, they planned on larger tires, didn't bother getting that accurate or possibly the gps didn't have full strength on three satellites. 60 is fine with me considering I couldn't do 50 in the 700 but it's irritating and I'll hopefully check on that tomorrow

I RARELY ran my 700 near the 45limit. Most of my riding was 25 or less. Occasionally 35 or so on roads, it was a bit squirrelly as top heavy as mine was with all the extra bits.

My 1000 will see more road time as were nearer some trails now, but doubt 66 will be a common occurrence. I don't really care if it's a few mph off, my 700 was due to tires, same with my truck. I stay within about 5mph of the limit on my truck speedo and haven't gotten pulled over yet.

Every motorcycle I've ever had was around 10mph off at 80, @15 at 110, @20 at 150 (younger dumber days or on a race track)

Maybe it wasnt a good signal or it didn't have time to catch up to real speed before he slowed back down? 10% is a lot. Maybe his tires were under inflated? Maybe a combination of all of the above.

Ya. Something is up.
This would effect the mileage, service intervals, and be a huge issue. Thats something Honda would not let slip up.
Request a second run, maybe along side a auto.

If mine ends up being 5 mph off I'm taking it back! I mean what I'm paying for this thing it better be dam near perfection! Otherwise I'm buying something else for $20000 that we'll have a accurate speedometer.

Like I said I'll check tomorrow or very soon if the ostrich pulls it head out of its ass and sells me mine tomorrow. I really think the gps was off maybe weak signal we can hope. I see this as more then a setup issue and we've not seen a problem from Honda of the like. I won't get to worked up unless this proves accurate and there are other signs of incompetence as well. Still a bit disconcerting for such a flagship if it holds any water. Anyone else want to double check?

Maybe the speedo was set for a true 27" tire? The OEM tires are far from it according to those that have measured.

It's not that big a deal for me. I'll just install a speedo healer like I've done on most of my Honda bikes.

We need another GPS test so it stays at top speed long enough to get a good GPS reading. If slow usually one tire size larger makes it spot on. My 700 is really close. My Pioneer 500 is 2.5 mph off.
