Will they work with full skid plate?

I’m not sure. I’m wanting to add full skids but haven’t yet because I am unsure how I want to go about it. I’m thinking the skids will need to be trimmed to go around it and some extra screws would be all you need.

Did you have to drill the frame?

No. The tree kickers are installed by removing existing bolts and replacing with longer bolts holding them on.

Are they worth the money for protection?

My .02.... take some 1/4” x 2” angle and run along the tubes. You’ll be fine then.

That’s just a “nerf bar” tube there... it’s not part of the frame. if you look at it, the back foot- foot and a half is not supported. It’s very prone to getting bashed and bending up. I just drilled that tube and mounted the angle. It’s held up well. And gave the skids a nice flat to mount to.

Anybody have these that could take a picture to see how and where exactly they mount up? I see there is a bracket in the center, nothing front or rear. I wonder about them bending in at the front or rear and pinching the sides.

to get the jei to mount with full skids you have to trim the skid plates and leave room for them to bolt up they also sit lower than the frame when installed

It just depends on what kind of riding you do to know if they would be worth it to you. In tighter wooded trails like a lot of trails near me they do their job. Can’t speak much about the rocks at this time.
