Any trickle charger is fine (trickle) . I have a few different ones , they all work fine and I've had a few of them over a decade .
I have a solar one in a truck that rarely gets used and would be to low to start the truck prior to getting this , now no problem and it came from Harbor Freight AND it just plugs into the cigarette lighter socket .
