Just an FYI the 1st gen live valves have steering angle sensor issues that aren't repairable without dealer level diagnostics.

They take on water and fail. 2023 and newer models have this issue fixed and much better power steering as a well.

Yep… This wouldn’t deter me from buying one but a good FYI. Your LV light will stay on forever when the SAS s***s the bed (and it will), but it doesn’t really affect much in the way of ride quality or LV function. I never replaced mine once I realized it was just going to go to crap again and that was 1100 miles ago.

‘23+ power steering is much better and the SAS is integrated into the power steering ECM so it doesn’t fill up with water and crap out.

I think ergonomics are very good. Cvt takes a little getting used to. Clutch kit should help with that. Good choice for a belt machine. The suspension is pretty good too.

Rmax, tell me the down and dirty, confort, ride qaulity etc

@Backwoods
I bought a 2022 RMAX4 1000 in May of 22, overall was a pretty good machine despite my prejudice of a CVT. My only complaint was the engine RPM noise at trail speeds. At 4500 miles this summer it started making death rattles, the con rod bearing disintegrated and cam had excess wear. Dealer wanted $9300 to rebuild. Ended up going to an nFlow remanufatured engine with a 6 month warranty for $4k

I would not buy again based upon my experience, going to a Talon 1000X-4 as a replacement.

No regrets. 21/2 years and not one issue. I would gladly buy again. Top notch suspension, seats, tires, wheels etc. 25’s have turf & big screen backup cameras in some models. I’ve driven them all before I bought and am happy with my choice.
