I’m in the process of installing my viper winch. I’m hoping someone can clarify this situation I have. The diagram in the manual doesn’t match the actual parts.

Mine is the same with the yellow and white wires reversed. Did you buy it from the Club Store here? If so call Richard, he probably will answer your question anyways. You have the winch mounted? Pics? Rooster is going to the shop next Tuesday for the winch install and a couple other things.

Looks like the receiver has the yellow and white wires reversed?
I don't know which goes to which. Hard to see the switch wire colors.
If IN/OUT is reversed, just switch them.
Or switch the rocker bullet connectors, whichever is easier to get to.

The winch is mounted, but I don’t have any issues with that.

Like shown? The actual wires are not like what’s pictured in the diagram.
Ok. Let me see if I can clarify
So the white and yellow has a piggy back spade connector on the end.
its designed to hook 2 spade connectors to 1 post.
Remove the spade connector from the bottom of the contactor for the black and the green wire.
Install the white and yellow in their place as shown.
Then connect the black to the extra pin.

Stand by. I'll see if I mark up your images.

The black wire can be grounded anywhere. If you have a better spot use it. In the image they chose to use the main ground post.
The red needs 12v KEY ON or switched. I recommend key-on as you should always have the machine running when winching, but switched is fine. Never pick constant power.

I used the cig lighter key on pig tail I got from the club store to connect the red wire. Everything else will go to my aux battery.

You said you mounted your plate today. Did you have any fitment issues?
Also, What year Pioneer do you have?
Thanks.
