P1000 Water Problem

I was talking to a Honda dealer today about adding a snorkle and he asked me how we used our P1K-5 and how deep of water we typically go through. I told him that we never go mudding in deep holes or drive through water over 2 foot deep. He says that Honda came out with the parts to redirect the air intake to make it less vulnerable for about $25 plus about $25 for installation if I didn't want to do it myself which he says is easy to do. Has anyone gone this route and are you happy with the results?

I installed the upgraded intake on mine...5 Min. last ride, no water in prefilter.

I don't have mine snorkeled because I drive in deep water. I did it because of the unknown. Never know when the bottom will drop out of that foot deep creek lol.

Yep, I don't plan to get water over the floor boards. Just can't bring myself to abusing a $20,000 investment. Kinda like quail hunting and using a Model 21 to push down barb wire strands. Lol.

Dealers down south didn't know what I was talking about when I asked them about this. Saw on here were someone on here got the parts up north. Call the people and they ordered them and sent them to me. Easy to put on!

Richard's is an old dealership started when 3-wheelers came by a mill worker who became full-time dealer (70's), knows what service is and gives it the best he can!!! I bought mine there and have had no problems with assembly, etc. Prices are very good.
Recommend him to all.

Called my dealership to order and they said that the plug was on back order. they don't know how long it will take to get it. The cover they can get and is on it's way.

What do you use to push the barb wire down if you don't use your model 21?

Honda should be giving these away! Honda is not the old Honda motor company!
