Haha. Wow. Your a better mechanic than me. Haha, and don’t say it. Good luckI opened up the portal hub that has the broken output shaft on it. I got the broken part out of the hub, and the broken splined shaft from out of the hub. I sent the broken parts to utv solutions about an hour ago. I always wondered what it looked like in there. Wanna see?

Yeah it seems pretty well made with close tolerances. Virtually no play on the inside. Pretty neat. The parts should be delivered up there to Michigan around Monday the mail lady said, then hopefully within a couple days they get a copy made and send it back. I told the guy up there I wanted 2 of them, so I can change out the one that didnt break also. If nothing else it will ease my mind a little bit.Damn! A lot of energy being transferred through those gears.

Haha. I’d be nervous I’d undo the last Allen bolt and it would go POP and everything would go flying, or a spring would pop out and not see where it came from. Haha, yeah it’s happened before, I have always got everything back together and working. And I have two brothers that are mechanics for over 30 year each. But I’d still be nervous. Haha. I got no problem taking things apart, it’s putting them back together. Haha. Keep us informed how it’s going BC.It was just like 6 allen head bolts and she popped apart. Im sure you can handle it. I ordered a Gopro Hero 7 Black yesterday. Some extra batteries and a Ram mount. Life is good! When downloading Go Pro 3+ yesterday, saw $100 off the 7 black for trade in of any old go pro. Like the advancements with speed, mapping, etc. Go Pro vs VIRB? Saw some good VIRB videos on forum.
Hey Caper: I'll bet you don't have any of these out there on the right coast!Sorry Al R, from one coast to the other. Haha

That’s beautiful Al. We don’t have Elk but we do have big Moose. Your just lucky that you didn’t have to take him up hill. Haha. When did you get him. And is close to where you live. My friend in Alberta has gotten picked a few times for elk draws. He said it’s a hard hunt. And when you shoot, it’s like a dinner bell for Grizzlies. They come to the shot. How high up did you have to go. I take it you quartered him out. My friends ranch is around Cardston. My buddy used his Ranger to pull out a 1,200 lbs Moose to his trailer . He said if pulled it good. Hard to get a bike there, even a Honda. Haha . Southern Alberta. I can see the mountains of B.C. and Montana looking out his window. I think he said 12 miles away. It’s beautiful. Cape Breton is beautiful too, but there is something about how flat the land is and then the mountains. Very cool. Thanks Al for posting that beautiful picture. Post a picture of your new Go-Pro when you get it. Have a great day Al.Hey Caper: I'll bet you don't have any of these out there on the right coast!

A little 5x5. Maybe 800 lbs. Brutal getting him down to the truck working on a 40 degree snowy slope. Was home by 17:30 hrs!

That action happened yesterday. It was about 2 hours from the house at 350 m elevation. It was a road hunt. 260 yd shot on the range finder. Walking that slash is a killer. Three of us there. We gutted it and removed the head to make it an easier controlled slide down the steep slope to the truck. Used the atv ramp and a plastic tobogan and come-alonged it into the half-ton. On the ground at 1230. In the truck at 1500. At the cooler by 1600. Kinda sore this morning! Glad grizzlies haven't made it here yet. The govt put a moritorium on shooting them a while back... That’s awesome Al. I sent the picture to my good buddy in Alberta. He said ‘ Beautiful Big Body Elk. And he said ‘ All he has to do is get him down. Haha He’s go a couple in Alberta, but it’s a LOT of work. Haha. And me and him are the same age. Sooo. Haha. But that is a hunt I’ve never been on. Yeah Ed said Oh you definitely can’t shoot a Grizzly. Haha. I just laughed and said, if I see a Grizzly, and it just looks at me sideways, yeah, it’s done. Sorry. Haha. Better him than me. We have Blacks in Nova Scotia. Lots in Cape Breton. I got a 600 lb male on May long weekend two years ago. Put out lobster shells and a camera , thinking I might get a coyote, and this guy came out. I showed a guy from Alberta, The Bear guy, he said he was over 600. He said how big is he in the fall. Haha. Big boy. Oh and nice shot. I go out every year and hunt my buddies ranch and another huge one outside Brooks. 45 miles east 45 miles west and 60 miles north. Crazy. And there is everything on that ranch. I saw a big wolf in a half ton chev. It was pushed in the tailgate head and ass bent to get it in and like 2 feet thick. Wow. That’s a big wolf. I saw a Grizzly track in the snow as we’re all lined up to push. The boys all took a look. Not impressed. Didn’t see him. Nothing better than being out, hunting. Well, every Whitetail has to be bigger than the last one. Haha. Two years ago I got a 6x6. Long tines, thick base. Beautiful deer. They were a little mad I passed up a couple beautiful bucks. But once you pull the trigger, the fun’s over. Just work after that. And if you shoot it you clean it. Haha. Years ago I could TEACH the young guys how to clean him. Now they all know. Haha. We’ve left deer, opened, cooling off, came back to get it with the truck and a huge Golden Eagle sitting on it eating it. And he didn’t want to give it up. Haha. I love it. Thanks again Al.That action happened yesterday. It was about 2 hours from the house at 350 m elevation. It was a road hunt. 260 yd shot on the range finder. Walking that slash is a killer. You’re allowed to shoot from the road there?? Like right from the truck??It was a road hunt.
Haha. Only if you don’t get caught. If you have a disability you can get a permit to shoot from a vehicle. In Nova Scotia. It’s probably the same in BC. I thought Oklahoma was still like the Wild West. Haha. Kidding. You’ll have to post a couple pictures of your place in Oklahoma. I liked the pictures of NM.You’re allowed to shoot from the road there?? Like right from the truck??
