How do you then retrieve your game if you're disabled? If you have a disability you can get a permit to shoot from a vehicle.

I was totally blown away with the pictures of N M. I thought it would be hot and more flat. Not many trees. I was wrong. HahaHaha. Only if you don’t get caught. If you have a disability you can get a permit to shoot from a vehicle. In Nova Scotia. It’s probably the same in BC. I thought Oklahoma was still like the Wild West. Haha. Kidding. You’ll have to post a couple pictures of your place in Oklahoma. I liked the pictures of NM.

Good question. Haha. I guess you take someone who can walk with you. I’ve seen guys hunting off an ATV. But it’s not an easy way to get a deer. You could get the bike close, but you still have to gut it and put it in the bike. I watched a show on Discovery, called North Woods Law. About game wardens in Maine. They , take, disabled vets out moose hunting. One or two wardens each. They took a guy out that was blind in one eye and had only 25% in the other. He couldn’t see a few they saw but he did eventually get one last day. Crazy. How do you then retrieve your game if you're disabled?
So if you look at a map, you’ll see a continuation of the Rocky Mountains into the north central region of New Mexico. We have I think a dozen or so 13,000’ peaks. Douglas fir, blue and white spruce, ponderosa pine, aspens etc, and 8’ of snow pack above 11,000’I was totally blown away with the pictures of N M. I thought it would be hot and more flat. I did see on the news a little while back, there was an avalanche in N M and buried a group of skiers. So that would be North ? Thanks Monte. I like Geography. And learning about places I’ve never been. Seeing new country. So if you look at a map, you’ll see a continuation of the Rocky Mountains into the north central region of New Mexico. Take a look at my avatar picture, that’s the view from one of my properties.
Southern New Mexico is high desert.
And your place in Oklahoma looks a lot like my friends place in Southern Alberta. Very nice.I did see on the news a little while back, there was an avalanche in N M and buried a group of skiers. The two skiers were in Taos, which is in the very north central part of the state. Northern New Mexico is a beautiful place. I'm in the central portion, a bit east of Albuquerque. Much smaller mountains, but we get our share of snow.
Been to Nova Scotia once, a strange roadtrip to Lunenburg in the mid-70's that involved a lot of Schooner Beer.
I just finished the turquoise trail from (east of) Albuquerque to Santa Fe a few minutes ago.The two skiers were in Taos, which is in the very north central part of the state. Kinda sorta, he’s two or more hours south of me. I just had business in Albuquerque yesterday so went down and stayed the night and now I’m staying in Santa Fe. If you’re into geography/history, when the Mayflower first landed at Plymouth in 1620, Santa Fe was already here, founded in 1609. That usually takes people by surprise when I tell them about it. The oldest building in America stands on the plaza today, I’ll be walking past it on my way to dinner in a bit.Neighbors

Cool. So originally founded by the Spanish ? We have lodes of history in Nova Scotia. Halifax is one of the only Ice free harbours. Plus it’s on the way to and from Spain, France, and England. Remington and Trigger’s boys from Michigan are digging up a lot of stuff on Oak Island. That’s a little island in Mahone Bay that has rumours of buried treasure by everyone from the Spanish to the Templar’s, to the British, French, pirates. Who knows. Haha . The Palace of the Governors (Spanish: Palacio de los Gobernadores) (1610) is an adobe structure located on Palace Avenue on the Plaza of Santa Fe, New Mexico, between Lincoln Avenue and Washington Avenue. It is within the Santa Fe Historic District and it served as the seat of government for the state of New Mexico for centuries. The Palace of the Governors is the oldest continuously occupied public building in the United States.
You may have one of the longest running threads here ehart!Looks like my old thread is doing okay. Lol

Yes, founded by the Spanish, occupied by the Jicarilla natives, as the Spanish, like the British were apt at colonizing natives for their own benefit. But let most Americans tell it and they discovered America.Cool. So originally founded by the Spanish ? We have lodes of history in Nova Scotia. Halifax is one of the only Ice free harbours. And let’s not forget the gold. Haha. And now it’s fact that the Vikings were here centuries before Columbus. The archaeologists found a settlement in Newfoundland and things in Nova Scotia. So there is probably a lot of people thinking they have to write new history books. Haha. Oak Island will fill in a lot of blanks. Haha. Right Remi, and Trigger. This Sunday should be good. And sometimes it’s not all about the bikes. Haha. But you did start a great trend. ThanksThere were times that it was 3 pages back and no one was posting in it. I would purposely post something here to keep it going. A lot of history in this thread. Glad to see you back around here too.
