P500 What did you do to/with your Pioneer 500 today?

You're looking for a loaded, powered subwoofer. Loaded, meaning the speaker has been installed in the box already. Powered meaning it has its own onboard amplifier. The main criteria you're looking at is size. You need to have an idea where you're going to put it.

Ok, when I look at these things on line, they all appear to be around 2-3" thick by a foot square give or take depending on model. Where I put it would depend on whether sound is coming from it directly or whether it's just enhancing the sound coming from my sound bar??

Will do, my friend ( who does welding on my p500) wants me to wait for his friend who is "top" welder who works for military , kinda on call, they fly him with head covered to places where he welds for them different stuff, so will see how it will turns out.

Both, sound does come out of it but not like a full range speaker. Only the lows and it will enhance the sound.

No, most have a wired or wireless remote to control bass. Or you just set it at the desired position and it's done. Mine is nearly maxed. The smaller the cabinet, the smaller the bass.

This year first try snow plowing was given to Arctic cat atv, my baby still at the shop, waiting for a welder to get new joints and springs . I hope I will get it out soon.

Has no effect whatsoever, your soundbar will only be sending a signal. You want as much bass as you can get for the small amount of room you have to work with, assuming you are wanting a somewhat permanent mount? It will increase and decrease volume with your stereo like normal. You just add how much low end you want.

@Montecresto if you get a "powered" sub, you don't need an amp. Your sound bar RCA outputs put out low level signals and the powered sub will handle the rest. If you don't get a powered sub, you will need an amp. @rocmar 's sub has everything it needs built in.

I don't know, I haven't shopped for subs in a long time. @trigger would probably know since he commented on the size of that sub in particular.
