Agree...1/2 ton..
which I call street truck
if your into outdoor stuff
...seems to come up short
...most of the time

Yeah 1/2 tons aren't made for real work. But if I need to do anything heavy, i have access to an 08 Cummins dually. Hauled a bomag roller with it today and then hauled an old dodge van to a junkyard. Could have hauled the van with the half ton but the Cummins hardly notices a load like that.

So the half ton is great for me. And it gets better mileage than the useless SUV I owned before.

I'd love to have a cummins in a 70s 3/4 or 1ton crewcab dodge or ford. 10' flatbed 4x4

Work n play

Could've done it before I bought this &@&)?!!>£+*%}|\{%€ Chevy ½ ton.

I'll probably consider it when this one is done in.
That's what mine will be when it's done for the most part, but I'm leaving the power stroke in it. I want mine to look like this.

That's awesome Mopar! Are you a member of another forum where I could follow that build? Or will it be documented here?
I joined the power stroke forum, but they don't seem to be too friendly, I use them for searching info. I will post a build thread in the off topic forum here and keep a log of progress. That sounds like a fun distraction from all things pioneer.

Not very good participation. They don't respond to questions much or seem to have talked about issues and topics that you would think they would definitely addressed. Pretty much the opposite of this forum.

It gets parked in the winter because it would get stuck just going out the driveway (2wd)
mostly a toy hauler/workhorse for the summer/summer home

I think we are 15 year...while the US is 25 yr import rules.
not uncommon to see RHD Japanese stuff around here.
I was considering importing a BJ 40 or 60 series Landcruiser ....
