Gas rig? Nice truck, I know GM builds a safe truck. I bought a 14 in early spring 15. The Chevy pulled better than the Yota I've got now and 3 mpg better.Traded in my 2015 Chevy 2500HD Duramax today.

I saved $400 a month by buying a 2016 Chevy 1500 Z71, less miles too. I will miss my old truck but the new one will work fine for years to come! And it frees up the money to pay for that damn RV!

If the body / fenders are the same as the 14, I have factory rock guards you can have, still in the boxes.Traded in my 2015 Chevy 2500HD Duramax today.

I feel ya on the mpg difference. My tundra tows better than any gm product I've ever owned. The power, brakes and chassis are better.Gas rig? Nice truck, I know GM builds a safe truck. I bought a 14 in early spring 15. The Chevy pulled better than the Yota I've got now and 3 mpg better.
The Chevy would just buzz, the Yota got to put your foot in it, I think the Yota will out last the Chevy big time! The chevy was more comfortable to pull a 18 foot trailer and P1000 & lawn mower. I'm short and didn't like the hood on the Chevy.I feel ya on the mpg difference. My tundra tows better than any gm product I've ever owned. The power, brakes and chassis are better.
How is your tundra configured and how about the chevy?
Some trucks have the right axel gear and motor combination that just makes them go!I had an 08 Tundra and traded it in on a 12 Avalanche. The ride, interior, and mpg are definitely better on the Avy but for pulling, I miss the Tundra... it was better for towing.
So true. The chevys I had with the 5.3l and 3.42 rear were dogs. The ones I had with 5.3/3.73 were much better. They put 3.08 gears in some, I can't imagine how bad that would be.Some trucks have the right axel gear and motor combination that just makes them go!

In 18 months the truck will pay for itself and a replacement hauling like that. I have had zero issues with two 6.7L Super Duty a 2011 F350 and the 2015 F450. I was actually just in to get new tires on my 2015 they last about 140k miles, the dealer had that 2017 F450 Platinum on the lot had just arrived 2 days prior. I asked what kind of trade would I be looking at. When they offered to trade offering me 8k more for my truck than expected and still discounted the new truck considerably I decided to pull the trigger. The 2017 get about 2mpg better than the previous models, that's a lot when you burn 1300 gal of diesel a month.
So far 11k miles in 16 days and love it.
Love that flat bed!30 months of ownership and no regrets. Just rolled over 333,333.3 miles. Isn't 7x3 21 in common core math?

Only mechanical replacements have been a BOSCH CP4 pump at 232k miles and a steering stabilizer at 316k miles.
90% of those miles were accumulated in only 20 months.
