Some more of the phone. At least it's not right in my face or field of view.

Side note; the ram mount for the phone that holds it in place, presses up against the on/off button on one side of my iPhone and the volume controls on the other. Of course you can move it up or down a little but, then the rubber band thing mounted on the back for each corner is stretched too far to the top or bottom. Kinda a pita....
Yep, we just don’t use the rubber band thing, the mount holds it securely without it.

We don’t exactly have a whole lot of extra room in and on our P5’s especially since my box was installed. There’s a small triangle of space between the box and the manual/auto transmission switch where I thought I’d put a Ram mount for my IPad to use in conjunction with my GPS, but now I’ve got little room to find a place to mount the phone so I can do iTunes with a Bluetooth speaker. Where are y’all mounting your gadgets? Also what kind of mounting systems are you using?

I have been wondering where to mount my 8 inch tablet for GPS purposes, trails and all. I was thinking the same triangle space with all the safety warnings would be a great place to put it...just haven't figured out how to mount it yet.

That's where the box goes.

I use a Velcro pad with sticky on both sides on a cheap phone from Walmart.I stuck it just above and right of auto manual switch.I use Back country navigator. No cellphone service needed.

Monte ... Nice use of space here. I want to do same. Assuming you put a backer plate behind the Ram diamond ball mount? Where did you find that? Smallest I see is 2.6 X 2.6 inches square. I don't see room for that under the hood. (P500)
Thanks, just fender washers, lock nuts and bolts.

And welcome to the Forum. I’ll be in Utah soon looking for new places to ride before the Colorado ride in September. What part of Utah are you in?
