Any thoughts on where, to as cheaply as possible, buy a 5x10’ sheet of black 1/2” UHMW??

That’s mostly true... few little trips around here but overland was the last real ride. I guess you could say I don’t ride often but I make it count when I do!
What's the closest place to you?

It's like 1.5 hours to Wildcat for me and maybe 2.5 to RRB. Some people would kill for that...but when your used to going out of the driveway or maybe hauling 15 minutes to 100+miles of trails (IE Arizona), its a big letdown. I hate to say it, but I'm thinking a return streetbikes might be in order for me.

Small park 3 miles down the road.. but we’ve got a lot of private land to ride. I’m 4-4.5 hours west of rrb.

So here has what really sparked my UHMW search... the aluminum skids from S&S have bowed so much in the motor cavity that they’re firmly resting against this shift fork/s*** lever.. whatever it’s called. It feeds into the subtrans and it can’t be good to have every rock that hits the bottom basically whacking this shaft.

Can’t say I’ve been impressed with S&S aluminum skids... they’re beat all to hell and don’t have many miles on them. Both front a arm guards are cracked. Wish I had gone UHMW from the get go!!!

I'd try to find a local plastic supplier. I paid $300 for my 4x8 sheet with 1 cut. If you're really struggling a local butcher shop may know where they got their cutting boards which are typically red or white UHMW.
