snuffnwhisky submitted a new Garage Item:

White Lightning Build

Bought her 2 weeks ago. Had a full page s*** list the first night. Didn't really know about Honda having a sxs or much about sxs's until I talked to my brother about getting one. He works at the local Honda shop... lucky me! Started reading this forum after talking to him and out of the blue a guy at work wanted a four-wheeler and I had one... so it begins!

Got a bunch of must do's reading here. @joeymt33 was a big help answering a bunch of questions leading up to buying and afterwards figuring out tire sizes. Got the seat insulated. First time me and my daughter went out she was laughing about her leg sweat on the seat. Pretty obvious what everyone was talking about with the heat. Also vented everything.

Bunch of other parts to put on. Going to start a new cage instead of chopping the factory. Going to do a custom windshield, roof and light mounts built in. Kind of sucks having the parts waiting on me to get it done. Really need a windshield and lights now. I'll post a bunch on the cage build soon. Going to start machining the bolt in adapters this weekend.

Super ATV rear arms on. They are arched and move the rear wheels back 1.5". Really good fit and quality. It has poly adjustable links on the bottom arm. 8 full rotations out on mine is very close on alignment. Kind of a pain to adjust after putting back together. Seemed like the back link was best adjusted dropping down below the mount and the front by lifting the a arm up, using a jack under the outside of the tire to help twist it. Save time and use an angle finder on the opposite stock hub at full droop and match the new side.

Looking nice. I keep meaning to get by there when I drive thru. Now that I see the jar, I'll be coming by pretty soon!

Looks like the best place for the hand throttle. Still have to run the cable and not sure how it's going to do yet. Should help from being jerky and keep the clutch locked when trying to crawl.

It's got adjustable tension and a bunch of detents to set its position. Normally you would hook it to the throttle butterfly but can't do that since it is closed up. Going to hook to the bottom of the throttle pedal. Only bad thing about that is the pedal also has a big return spring that is has to overcome. Probably add a toe guard on the pedal, if it works, to be able to lift the throttle up just in case.

If you are building a new roll cage you might consider what I saw a guy do here and use the roll cage as a snorkel

Front super ATV arms installed. About 6 rotations out for alignment on mine. Word of advice, get new ball joints! I ordered new ones and they were wrong, so being impatient, I removed the old ones. You have to remove the boots on the lower ball joint to press them out. They do not come off that easy. I was able to get a small flat head and hammer it around the base to get it off. They also need pretty specific sleeves to get them off. Not much clearance between the joint and a arm. I was able to find some old bearing races, front hub socket and some other 3/4" drive sockets to get them out. To remove the lower ball joint nut, you need to disconnect the upper ball joint, take the axle nut off and twist the spindle and tap the axle in till the end of the axle is flush with the hub.
