I've got a 2500 on mine and have used it several times to get out everything from deep mud to the side of a very steep hill after I slid off the firebreak and almost turned it over. I use mine quite a lot and while bigger would be good, the 2500 has been 100% acceptable for me. So yes, I'd say a 3500 would be fine. One "must have" accessory for me is the wireless remote, it was really nice on the steep hillside.

Should be enough, but always carry a snatch block or 2 for those bad situations, you never know when you'll need them.

I have the Warn 2500 & have had no issues! Used in a couple of rough pulls & worked like a champ!

Might consider Superwinch Terra series
I have always been a Warn user, (mainly because Ramsey doesn't make ATV/UTV winches), but I have just purchased a Superwinch Terra 35. It was on sale on Amazon, so I decided to take a chance. So far, I have been impressed. It seems well put together, and simple to install/operate. It came highly recommended from several of the locals, who run the big 800 & 1,000 Can-Am ATVs. While I have not taxed it, yet, I'm confident that it will be enough to pull the P500 out of just about anything I would drive into.

I had the SE45 KFI it was good but I'll get a wide spool next time. If you have wire mount or other bits needed for install KFI will sell you ONLY what you need. I'll just be buying a winch and contactor next time from them as I have all the other pieces or am sourcing them from other places.

Honda sells a Warn 2500. I am putting on a Superwinch Terra 3500 on because the price is right, compared the Warn Honda sell. I would think Honda as big as they are would be able to determine the correct size winch to pull out their machine. After all if you use a pulley the mechanical advantage is double. That would 7000# in my case. The machine is less than 1000#. If it is stuck so that 7000# cannot pull it out, it is probably toast anyway. Just my thoughts for what little they are worth.

After talking to a friend and then taking his info and doing some digging. Looks like I'm going with a MileMarker winch, ONLY 170amp draw at 4500 pull!!!! HALF what most of the others are!

I said most not all, I couldn't remember the one (Superwinch) that was close. Thanks for looking.

AMP Draw wasn't the only reason, apparently the MileMarker pulls so hard it snaps cables rated for use with it, I'll replace the 80' of steel rope with @12000lb synth and be happy.

(only 38' of synth will fit on the KFI SE45 and probably something similar with other 4500lb winches)
