Newbie owner of a 520. I'm probably going to get the super atv flip up like others on this thread. I'm going to be trailering on highways. Is there any need to remove the windshield or roof for safety reasons or gas savings? I'll be taking it from PA to Idaho once a year as well.

I trailer my. P5 with windshield down or the rubber gaskets with blow away. I learned the hard way while bring p5 home when I purchased it.

You don’t need to remove either.

I've had the Honda flip out for the past 3 years. Cost me about $600 I like the hood access and the breeze I can get even with a little rain falling. It's scratched beyond help now, mostly due to improper cleaning... In fact I'm planning to chop out a section about 20x35 and gluing a piece of 1/4" laminated glass over the hole. I'm hoping to have the glass tomorrow. Was quoted $125 for the glass btw. View attachment 303056👍
Thats what I plan when the time comes, safety, not tempered glass.

Yes I agree, I'm going with the laminated glass so it holds together if it breaks. My glass guy hasn't come through, so I'm going to find another shop to cut it hopefully before the weekend.

Finally got my glass today. I cut out the old windshield with a circular saw, and used a jig saw for the corners. Glued it on with urethane adhesive and used mirror clips to help clamp it while it cures... Received 608828650359322Received 4365827906865277Received 413894103557396
