P1000 Wire gauge

What gauge wire should I get for accessories if it wasn't supplied? Example, dual volt meter...

really depends on the amp load and distance, you can probably get away with 14ga on most things under 10amps, 12ga up to 15 and 10ga for 16-30amp, and anything over 30 amps run an 8ga

Aren't those numbers more related to 120v systems?

Amps=watts/volts

150w at 12v is 12.5amps
1500w at 120v is 12.5amps
3% voltage drop at 12v is.36
3% voltage drop at 120 is 3.6

Length makes a big difference as resistance will increase and voltage drop will increase with resistance.
Correlating with a lower amp capacity for a given wire at a longer distance. Here’s where it changes. 4gauge at 240v will carry 10amps @1300’ where 4ga with 10a at 12v will only go 90’
