Very cool, and that Sherman trans sounds familiar, but can’t say mine had it, and on further thought, I think my 9N had a 3 speed transmission not 4 speed.
If I remember correctly the Sherman trans were in 8&9N and furgison tractors standard from 39’-52’ with variations depending on the years equipped with 3 speed and 4 speed gears. Some with road gears (rare) and some not. Very strong and dependable as we see a lot of us are still using them today either little repair or no repair at all:)

I think the p500 and tractors are somehow related , the little p500 has that tractor feel to it!!!
I think that’s one reason I had to have one.

Well, mine was a 39’ model, and I never had a transmission problem, and Harry Ferguson’s hydraulic 3-point was so solid the same tech is still used in most tractors. I like that parts are pretty readily available for those old tractors. And of course there are forums for all the info and help one needs if repairing/restoring them.

I think it's great that so many of us have the same interests other than sxs.

I don't buy accessories for just my p500 , there's alot of cool stuff for these tractors too. For the past 26 yrs I have been cleaning up the leaves on my 3 1/2 acre property every fall. I would use a 5hp leaf blower (walk behind) some blue tarps and a rake to clean them up. I am getting to old for that s*** now , so I bought me a new leaf blower about 1 1/2 months ago and this thing gets the job done. I never have to leave the seat of the tractor to get them done now.

My Kubota B7800 and P500 close to same HP, both do alot for their size. Its all about gearing ratios to HP. Not the fastest, but pulls good. Dig a hole, then ride the P500 in it. Seems like many here like to play in the dirt..

Hey @Hondasxs , would you consider adding a Tractor/Heavy Equipment category under “Other Topics” , similar to the Trucks, Trailers and RVs? Looks like alot of P500 members share an interest and might be good for the other groups to join in. Maybe relocate alot of these posts to get it populated, if you agree. I know I’m a PITA!
Thanks, Mudder

I have a WW2 era Gibson tractor. I have the front blade and rear single (or maybe double can't remember) plow for it. My Grandpa used to love to show it people because "it doesn't have a steering wheel you drive it with a stick". Ah, memories. I should dig up the picture of him plowing snow with it and post it here.

Blower is ready to go. Seems as you gents were discussing tractors that’s usually how I change my oil. I pick up the buggy with the forks and up it goes! Saves rolling on the floor Image
