Ran into an issue doing these on all panel holes.. the panel isn’t deep/thick enough on the lower 3 holes. So after I end up drilling out the lower hole it’s still going to
Leave a 1/4 of the latch body raised.

Ok. I was going to start this mod today and it turns out that one of the top fastener heads are stripped. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get that out. Tried driving Allen wrench in and getting it to break loose. Thinking I may have to drill and easy out unless you all have a good solution.

Do you have any torx sockets? Try tapping in a T30 or T40 socket and see if it will work.

Use a dremelwith small cutting wheel to cut a slot into the head of the bolt and use a flat screwdriver to remove it

Well my china latches (lol) are ordered. Pd for express shipping so maybe it won't be next yr before I get them.
As long as you have a good address to ship to they dont take long. I live way out in BFE and they though my address was a p.o. box. It took them like 3 days to respond to my email. After that about 5 days through fedex.

Gotta give credit where it’s due. @JTW told me about these a couple weeks back. Just now got them. Glock still gets credit for the first install and great video. That’s what made me want to hurry up and receive them.

They were more expensive on eBay. $15 for 4 of them and shipping.

I know the feeling. we just got our new 911 address out here in the sticks but are having more issues now than we ever did. I ordered 12 latches and pd more for shipping than the latches so I hope they will get here in a decent time.

I went ahead and put another latch on top for a total of three. The bottom holes arent as deep and i was afraid they would hold out and put the upper latches.in a bind. Gonna run to the part store in the AM and find some panel fastners to fill the lowers

Please share the results. I like these so much better because I’m afraid the knobs that I use will get caught on something and rip off. Hats off to both you guys for moving this forward.

I was thinking the zip ties for electric fans maybe Only thing is they are usually ribbed. Also thinking maybe washers stove bolts and color matching paint.
