Go with the 15 unless its a good price difference. Changes are better front shocks and a new exhaust system. meaning dual spark plugs, catalytic converter, and o2 sensor.

Plus the 2015 shocks are not priced bad if you can get a 2014 cheep enough the shocks are an easy enough for a swap out project!

I agree the other guys, go with 2014 only if the price gap is rather large and it already has some accessories. Also, only if you know for sure that you will not plan to sell it in the next 5-10 years. If you ever plan to get rid of it, the 2014 is going to worth a lot less than a 2015.

I just had to make same decision between a 2015 and 2016, which were basically same machines. I went with the2016 just in case i wanted to sell it next year either because I end up getting the 1000 or just determined it didn't fit my needs.

I would not worry though, whichever you decide to go with, you will absolutely love it!

You may want to check prices from some of the biggest Dealers that have quite a bit of inventory should give you an idea of what you might be able to get to locally. Once the P1000's hit there may be a noticeable number of gently used P700's on the market for a very good price.

Currently a 2015 P700 is $10,299.00 and a P700-4 is listed at $11,094.00 at one of the large dealers in TN, oddly enough that's the same price they have on the 2016 models as well.

I am a newbie here on this forum and have just started to look for a 700-4 and also I am undecided on what year to purchase either 2014 or 2015. Or should I buy a brand new one from a dealer been searching on craigslist alot and I have seen some good deals and also just found the for sale section on here and that for sure gives me a better idea of what the price they should be going for because on craigslist I noticed some people wanted way to much for a used pioneer.

Thanks @bigc. Lol.

@HondaJoe, you should be able to find a good deal from someone trying to make room for the new 1000. If I was you. I might even put a wanted ad up in the Craig's list. But locally only so u can see it before u buy it.
Some dealers will be taking trades too. I would look for a 2015 or request the 2015 shock upgrade as part of the bargain.
Other then that. There's not much difference.

It is a Honda!

I sold mine in about a week for 14k back in June with @700miles on it and fully decked out. I am beyond ready for the Silver Metallic to be released.

I don't think the prices have dropped all that much.

Welcome to the Club @HondaJoe!! Glad to see you on here! I know that you have driven a 2014 Bad A$$ rig but if you wanted to drive a 2015 I know a guy that has one we could ask him and see.??. so that you could see a difference but the big thing to add to the 2014 VS 2015 debate is resale value vs buy in price. just food for thought. because if you wanted a 2014 the shock replacement is easy.

Well I am finally ready to pull the trigger, but I can't decide!

I have found a used 2014 700-4 close by with 130 miles on it (in mint condition from what I can tell) Camo, 4500 lb warn winch, one piece windshield, soft walls and roof. 1 year extended warranty.

A local dealer has quoted me a new 2015, black, 4500lb warn winch no windshield no walls.

The 2014 is $1500 cheaper even with the accessories. (plus I'm going to try and get him to throw in a 1 year old trailer that he was asking $1500 for ☺)

This will be my first atv/sxs purchase.. Is it a no brainer to go with the 2014?

First post on the site, but have been reviewing for months. thanks for all the information!

I would choose the 2014 if you get more for less money.

If you ride in high elevation often I'd probably consider the 2015. If you can get the 14 with the trailer that's pretty tough to beat too though
