Am I the only one that has had this piece of "safety equipment" get me right in the spine? Especially when getting in quickly. I want to cut it off.

Does the bar on the 2014 extend as far as mine? I thought it was extended with the 2017 model year. A friend has a 2016 700-4 with a bar there, but not near as extended as mine. I'd like to chop my top too, but I already hit the gun rack. I take it out after season though.

The 14-16’s are pretty low profile, I haven’t noticed them being a problem on my 17 and I use it quite a bit.

I haven't had a problem with mine and it's a 2017. But if it was cut off I wouldn't miss it either.

No yours is higher and worse. Mine is a pain.my dog doesn't like it either. I'm actually surprised more people don't mind them.

I assume the bar is presenting a problem enter/exiting the unit or otherwise?

I can see where it would be intrusive. I don’t mind it, I’ll use it in off camber situations and as an arm rest when I’m cruising. If it’s that bad, cut it off, grind it out and paint it.

Holy Crap!
The 2016 isn't near as big and invasive. I would modify it to be like the 2016. Let me see if I have a picture here at work.

After a lot of debate & making sure it wouldnt weaken the rops, I removed mine. Since the honda door latch mounts to these bars i modded the latch bracket & welded it to the rops. Made it look pretty & you’d never know it wasnt factory. Very happy with it & am glad i did it. WAY easier to get in & out of now plus the doors operate properly now.
