Got this fella this morning out of my favorite stand.

No Deer this year! Yet. My hunting area got severely hit by HD. Me and my boys have switched over to pork. We have taken 7 boar in 7 days. We are attempting to complete the New River Grand Slam- Deer, coyote, boar and bobcat! Anyway we took these today. The Honda is in its second deer season and just clicked over the 2000 mile mark and going strong. Hunting was what it was purchased for, but it have become so much more.

So how much meat do you get from one of those hogs? Are they as good to eat as domestic pigs?

Maybe 1/3 - 1/2 dressed weight. Like with all game they have the “wild” taste and you doing get all the cuts you get with domestic pigs.

I didn't take any pictures this year, I did get a cow elk but as we all know a cow is not picture taking material, just freezer space material. Have to eat elk steak tonight, it's the last package from the elk last year.

Meat in the freezer! That’s all that matters! And elk is one of the best!

I love elk meat. Didn't draw this year and my last years cow is almost gone.

Nice ... I do believe I recognize that area ... I swear I didn’t chase the deer away in July and August!

We are a one buck state and I shot one a couple weeks back. Unless a neighbor gets one they are free to grow.

Helped my cousin bloodtrail and recover a 160"-165" 10 point yesterday.
