Really?? I was bottoming out every ride on the 500
The '17 shocks (or Canadian replacement) must bottom out easier.

Did you have them on all 4
It sounds like they tried to fix those issues with the rekluse style auto clutch in the new units. I've read that had made all the difference for woods guys. Have you heard different? The issue with the YZX is the powertrain. Our sales rep said Yamaha has an awesome chassis but no powertrain to match the capability of it. The engine in those units has no power down low, it's a very high rpm unit. Which caused clutch issues when first dropped, because you either slip the hell outta it or rev it to the moon and drop it to get it moving. They already stole Hondas paddle shift idea anyways, so they new the shifting thing was a bad idea to begin with.
If I decide to stay with the 700, which is probable, I'd like some dang shocks! Not yet on the 1000 but yes on the 700. Big difference! Was so much more stable too. The Foxes had bad ass valving that I couldn't bottom out so on corners it was sweet took that oh s*** factor away

That really sucks that Honda puts junk shocks on their rides. My Polaris..........oh never mind.Had both and they are both junk. The 1000 feels better though but I think it's just a larger heavier platform so it is smoother till you get with it. Fox shocks we're night and day difference on the 700. Seriously.
LOL I like thatThat really sucks that Honda puts junk shocks on their rides. My Polaris..........oh never mind.
Good to know, when I'm riding wide open on trails I am getting beat to heck!, spending 1200 on shocks is better than hitting the reset button on 15k. However the 3rd seat in the front and extra power are REALLY appealing!I'll second what @CumminsPusher already stated. Night and day difference with Fox Shocks on my 700-4. Most of you know I only use my machine for trail riding. I was having a very difficult time keeping up with my buddies rzrs prior to upgrading the shocks. Since then I have zero issues following them anywhere.
Wide open is when you feel the most difference. I hear you on the extra power. The room in the 700 is plenty for us but that extra power sure would be nice.Good to know, when I'm riding wide open on trails I am getting beat to heck!, spending 1200 on shocks is better than hitting the reset button on 15k. Get shocks when you can that rig loves them. You can carry more speed which helps the 700 a little with the power aspect. Both times we wrecked the 700 it was from over driving it got Fox different storyIf I decide to stay with the 700, which is probable, I'd like some dang shocks!
