I am going this weekend to take a look at a new 2018 1000-5 Deluxe from a dealer. This would be my first side by side that I personally own and was wondering it this would be a good deal.

Like I said it is a new 2018 1000-5 Deluxe and it comes with an open trail plow. The price is $15,000 out the door. From what I have seen this seems to be a pretty good deal and would get me into the world of side by side at a reasonable price. There should be an attached picture. Thanks in advance for the input!

Just now reread the description..."Winch, plow, roof and windshield not included. Accessories can be financed." Lol missed that. Still a good deal?

Not terrible... Sticker price is over $17500. But, It is a 2 year leftover. See if they are playing any games, adding fees to the price, etc. These machines can be had for $14000 but you might need to drive.

Did some more looking and saw Abernathy's, they have them for $14,000 but that 8 hours each way for me. Might be too far of a drive...so might be worth calling the place that I originally showed and see if they could do any better.

I bought mine at abernathy's. It was 11 hours each way for me. But I don't regret it. It was a very simple transaction with no surprises.

Just got a quote to have it shipped from there to my door for $400, that could be an option too.

Honda makes you physically visit the dealership for delivery.

My dad bought a new Polaris way off and had it shipped home. I’ve been told that Honda doesn’t allow that though

better than my local dealer, who wants $17K for the 2018 1000-5 deluxe OTD with zero accessories.

for those that are travelling to Abernathys for $14K, is that plus the honda freight and delivery fees? does that add $1500 or $1000?

well i got an updated quote. $17,000 OTD with Roof + Full Glass Windshield included.

$16 OTD with no accessories.

Seems like a mediocre deal comparatively.

Especially with Abernathy's flyer in the frontpage of their website for the $13,994, plus destination charge.

What do you guys think, is this deal good enough?

I'd like to support a local place. But I'm not sure if the deal is quite good enough.

What do you guys think, is this deal good enough? A windshield and top would cost u around $1200 or more.

It will cost u $1200 or more for a roof and windshield from most honda dealers.

Abernathy's price is $14035 out the door. that's it, period. They don't collect tax, prep, or freight.

I don't know where in Ohio you are, but I purchased mine from honda east of Toledo for 14,900 out the door. It was in 2017 and it was that year's model. They tend to have the best prices in this area.

i'm too far from abernathys, something like 18 hours one way.

Ohio would be more appropriate if i'm going to make a road trip. 14,9 out the door is pretty good compared to 16.

Abernathy’s charges sales tax if you are a TN resident but no other fees like freight or set up. As with any dealer they will try to sell the extended warranty, reminded me a little bit of a life insurance agent talking of what will you spend if it breaks. They also will push options like top, windshield and winch, etc. just like any dealer will.

When you deal with Abernathy's, do they negotiate or is the listed price "the price"?

I'm trying to see if i really want to drive there.
