2018 F150 brake controller OEM or aftermarket?

Need a brake controller.
The OEM is $90 on ebay, uses factory harness. I would need to pay someone to do the software portion.

Is there a better choice?

At one point they gave you a free license for a 2 month window. I haven't messed with it lately though. Not sure what the subscription options are anymore.
There is a really good F150 document floating around from f150forum with lots of available changes you can make.
