- So the deluxe doesn't have i4wd as originally suspected. I wonder if any other features from the LE will trickle down, like cupholders, etc. I doubt suspension would as the Forest model still has the generic suspension.
- A small thing, but a nice touch if all models have the mirror. Likely the safety team wanting to avoid a suit; not Honda being generous.
- Trail seems to be the old SE
- Forest is between the Deluxe and old LE. Weird that it only comes in Camo... Wondering if there is another SKU to be found...
- It will be interesting to see which SKU's canada gets, and hopefully we get some more colour choices.
It is really odd they keep pushing the announcement back. I mean if it was just a supply chain issue, you think the marketing team would step in here, and say "hey all the pre-orders are going to the competition if we don't announce something by Feb at the _latest_. Who cares if it takes they a year to get their product". I know honda doesn't really take pre-orders, that is handled at the dealership level.
Maybe they really aren't 100% sure of the feature sets, or engineering designs are not 100% final. But with part numbers leaking, this doesn't really make sense either.
The only thing I can think of would be the finances. They haven't decided on pricing yet, or perhaps incentives. It would be nice if they offered an incentive for pre-orders because people know they are going to have to wait so long to get the machine delivered, I know Ford and GM are doing that on trucks to encourage people to put money down even though they know they won't see the vehicle for many months.
Anyway their timing is really curious.
