P1000 2nd battery space size

I've noticed lots of of guys are using an Odyssey 925 and some other 7"+ wide batteries in the space next to the stock battery. How are you guys fitting it in that square cutout? My 2nd battery space is 6 3/4 wide by 5 3/8 deep and the hight is over 8". The 35Ah batteries is see are all too wide. What am I missing? don't want to cut anything or go under the seat with a 2nd battery.

I don't think you can fit the 35ah under the hood. The 26ah I've got fits like a glove:

Thanks Adam I think I'll go with the Mighty Max ML26 12 like you have it's seems like plenty of battery for my needs. I noticed on Amazon several folks mentioned thats what they are using it for.
