What do ya think about 30" Tensor Regulator's on stock wheels all the way around and NO lift...

Are they gonna rub? If so, where...in the suspension, body, turning full stop...
Are they just too dang big without mods?
Does the 1000 have enough balls to pull wide open on the street or will it fall flat with rubber this tall?

I really don't do much rock crawling but DO use LR very often, I'd hate to over gear and stress the clutches.
I DO run a lot of fast dirt and and it would be nice to have the taller gearing from 30"

Ya see where I'm going with this? Is it inviting problems going this big or just stay with say 28"?

I think you would be happier with a true 28 inch or 29 inch tire based on the information you have given.

Below are some pictures of 28.5 inch tall tires on 1 inch wider wheels in the front. You can see that they are very close to rubbing sitting on level ground.

With a small lift of only 1.5 inches, my 30 inch tires would rub in the back before I changed the A– arms. But they had to be completely stuffed. Here’s The best picture I could find of that. Rear offset arms solves that problem though.

Here is some pictures of stock tires with no lift and stock suspension. This is a screenshot from a video showing that a larger tire like a 30 inch tire would have chewed the fenders up in this scenario.

It won’t fit. And there’s not enough grunt to turn them. If they get bogged into something the machine will stall out before it can spin them.

And lastly, here’s some pics with 30” tires, 2” offset wheels, 2” forward A-arms, 1.5” rearward A-arms, and about 2.5” of lift.

Not true! I’ve got over 2000 miles on 30 inch tires and absolutely love them. No power problem at all. Yes it would be nice to have some lower gears.

Does this look like a power issue?

It looks likes rocks and sand. Which the pioneer is great in. It’s nemesis is sticky mud that grabs the tire and skid and bogs it down.

I see you’re in Canada. The OP of this thread is definitely not in that type of environment. I should have said 30’s and stock gearing is ok for most everything except the extreme sticky stuff.

It will rub. My 28" tensors would rub with stock wheels in certain situations. The power is there to easily sling these truck style tires

No power issues but a driver issue possibility. I've seen @CumminsPusher do that in turf and never spin a tire.

That’s how everybody else was doing it so I was just trying to be like everybody else. I already drove up it in reverse turf mode and then came back down to do it like the other guys!

“Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky took me out to go get a drink with him? We go off looking for a bar and we can’t find one. Finally, Brasky takes me into a vacant lot and says, ‘Here we are.’ Well, we sat there for a year and a half. Sure enough, someone constructed a bar around us. Well, the day they opened it, we ordered a shot, drank it, and then burnt the place to the ground. Brasky yelled over the roar of the flames, ‘Always leave things the way you found them!'”

Hey, Thanks all for the information and suggestions! I'm just gonn'a stay with 28" when the time comes. 30"s sounded like a good idea at the time, but I don't want to go crazy modd'n this thing. I know from owning Harley's how addictive that can be (and tough on wallets and marriage's LOL)

THANKS again for the reply's
