Your 32" tires have a 12.5% greater diameter over factory 28" tires. That being said, if your ECM isn't reprogrammed for 32" diameter tires, that 70 mph your display reads is actually 78 mph.

Should be easy enough to verify actual speed with GPS ground speed reading at WFO.

So I just got out to check this and there’s a substantial difference between the dash readout and the GPS readout. I’ve got 32x10x15 Carnivores all around.

My dash readout on flat ground, High/Sport Mode WFO, was 72 MPH. The same GPS readout during this run was 77 MPH.

I did some additional cruising to see if the 5 MPH difference was consistent and it does appear to be very repeatable at varying speeds.

Here’s a screenshot of the GPS top speed:

Correct. I guess I didn’t specify. Very repeatable at varying speeds in the 55-70 MPH range.

OzkMtn,

So you have 32s on the X, 5/2 offset wheels and a spacer on the back to true up tracking? Do you have any rubbing at all? I'm very curious because I'm looking to get an X4 when they come out, but am also hesitant because I'd like the option to put 32s without a lift kit.
yes 1.5 inch spacer in rear to true to front. I don't have a lift i have 1.5 inch forward front A arms and zero rubbing. 32's on the x in stock form will rub slightly

I've read foward A arms can make handling worse. But also a lot of people use them. What is your assessment of the handling effects of them on.the talon?

It seems to handle better. with the wheel offset and the forward arms i'm 1.5 inches wider than a stock r model and i never measured but with the forward arms it gives it a little longer wheelbase. so it handles better but i lost a little turning radius but its still better turning radius vs the R model turning radius.

OzkMtnTalon said 32s rub a little stock, but clear fine using 1.5 inch forward offset A-arms. Increases turning radius a bit, but not as bad as the R. I'm weighing whether or not to put the offset arms on an X4 when I get one. Definitely want as much ground clearance as I can get with the longer wheelbase. The X4 has the same turning radius as the R. I don't know if that is good or bad for a 4 seater. So not sure on the offset arms or settle for 30s. I could do a spacer lift...those dont seam to be very popular due to increases axle angle.

What fenders do you have? Mud busters?
Also have you measured the height at the rear roof’s highest point with the 32’s? I’d like to go 32’s but am worried about overall height and it fitting in my toyhauler....

Thanks
You should be able to get the height by adding 2 inches to the stock height for 32 vs 28 inch wheels. In reality, it will probably be a little less than two more inches than the stock spec for height since the tires are probably a little less than 32 inches, will sag a tad under load and the suspension will also probably be lower than initial set up. But even if you have the same machine, your suspension and his suspension may not have the same amount of sag compared to mfgr spec due to different age, use or possibly set up from from factory.

Not RCI but those are Rokblokz on his X. I have Mud Busters on mine. I chose the regular R kit for my 68" wide X. They work great. The Rokblokz are a little more money than the Mud Busters but they have nicer hardware.

Hey just wondering how these tyres went I am in Australia and options on tyres are limited but these are available
A little late, but I have about 600 miles on terra masters. Tires hook up great. Ride great. Do good in mud (not great, but not a mud tire) I did get a side wall puncture in one and had to tube it. We have very sharp rocks as one of my local riding areas. Now using it as a spare tire. I will likely buy them again.

I run the Terra Masters also and like them a lot!! They have done awesome in everything I have thrown at them. They are light and also handle great! I plan on buying them again! Best tire I have used to date!!

32s and with very little rub. So far, they wear semi fast, but are a good tire!
