Howdy folks,
Got a couple of questions about the wiring on the accessory switch plate/wire harness. I’m trying to connect 5pin carling switches to the wiper and heater circuits of the Honda harness so I only need 2 wires hooked to the switches but which 2?Those circuits have multiple wires. See below. (I’ve already used the Honda accessory lights wires. Those were easy)

Also which 2 pins on the wiper and heater fuse panel hookups would I use hook up the lights? See below. Hope this makes sense. Thanks.

Ok, I think I got some of this figured out. I hooked the red wire and yellow wire from the wiper switch connector to my carling switch and got 12v to the wiper molex connector in the distribution panel. From l-r on the molex the negative is #1 pin and positive is #3. See pic below.

Now the problem is the 7.5amp fuse blows when I hook the lights to it. The lights come on for a second then the fuse blows. I’m using rigid d-ss sku [HASHTAG]#262313[/HASHTAG] and according to rigid the amp rating is 5.14 and the wattage is 72. Any idea what could be causing this?

Hi.
I'm sorry. I am not familiar with this switch panel.

I just looked at that light. is it 72w each or total?

72/12=6a.
That's not much extra room there for a 7.5a fuse.

I would jump up to a 10a and see what happens.

Put a meter on the leds direct to the battery and see what they pull.

Thanks.
I put the meter(at 10A DC setting) in the light circuit & got an Overload message, so that tells me it's 144W or 12A's total. I'm gonna try a 15A fuse this evening & hope it holds. Fingers crossed.

Yup, 15A fuse worked. I tried to tie into the headlight wiring for the lower switch light positive but out of the 2 wires powered when the lights are on neither is powered all the time. One's hot with the low beams, the other with the high beams. So I just wired into ignition-on power. And thanks to Elkhunter for the cube mounting idea.
