Ok, after I posted the above post, I did some research and answered pretty much all my questions except one...
did you clamp the coupler at the air box? Sorry for all the newb questions.
I clamped my snorkel to the stock air inlet under hood

Cool that's what I needed to know, I'm all over this like a fat man at a free buffet. ThanksI clamped my snorkel to the stock air inlet under hood

What @ToddACimer said. He pulled his to the side to get it out of the way of the hood. Mine is stupid simple; just a hole in the hood with the pipe run up and a filter. It takes all of 2 seconds to remove the quick clamp and filter to pull the hood if needed.Cool that's what I needed to know, I'm all over this like a fat man at a free buffet. Thanks
I like both ways of doing it, I think I'm going to go straight up because it moves it a little more to the middle of the buggy. Some of our trails are a bit skinny, worried about knocking it off. What @ToddACimer said. He pulled his to the side to get it out of the way of the hood. I personally liked it better in the middle because if I flopped it over I'd be less likely to damage it. Actually, that's a lie ... The hood was a lot cheaper to replace than the side panels if I wanted to get rid of it. I bought an extra hood for $35 in the off chance I want to get rid of the snorkel. I honestly do not even notice it anymoreI like both ways of doing it, I think I'm going to go straight up because it moves it a little more to the middle of the buggy. HAHAHA... if your going to sacrifice a body part might as well be a cheap one, good thinking, that's why you drive the short bus.👍👍I personally liked it better in the middle because if I flopped it over I'd be less likely to damage it. I need to put some spring assist on mine but that’s a long way down the list. 😉Yeah they are heavy and the older and fatter I get the heavier they seem to get. But the one I have is spring assisted so its not as bad.
