Adding 31x10.50 Tires

I’m new to the forum so forgive me if this has been asked before. Will 31x10.50 tires on stock rims rub anywhere on the Talon X4 Live Valve? Is so, what is biggest size that won’t? Thanks in advance.

From what i've read 32's can have a tiny bit of rub if a wheel is stuffed, so 31's should be fine.

That question cannot be answered with a blanket yes or no or 30, 31, 32 answer.

All tires labeled 31" are not the same. They will range anywhere from a little less than 30" to a little over 31" depending on brand and air pressure. Also, a rounded tread tire will clear better than a square tread.

So, brand X at 8 psi will clear while brand Y an 12 psi will rub like hell.

That said MOST 30x10x15 will clear or slightly rub. A true 31X10.50X15 will rub and a square aggressive tread may do damage. Most 32's will rub.

Case in point, a riding buddy has 30X9.50X15 (not even 10" wide) on stock rims and they rubbed slightly. He put 1/2" skids on and had to trim them because they rubbed badly.

Some manufacturers will tell you either diameter, circumference or revs/mile so you can calculate the true diameter. That is what I would go by if I needed to know what the real tire diameter is.

31’s with square tread fit fine on my x4.

Gearing became an issue with the added tire size so I did portals.
