P500 Adding a fused power panel

I would like to add a Blue Sea fused power distribution panel to run lights and such. When you guys have added blocks and fuse panels, are you using a relay or something that the power cable from the battery would tie into, and switching it on and off with a Key On power to the relay? This would kill power to the distribution portion when the key was turned off. If not are you leaving the panel hot, with a inline breaker, and using Key On to the relays to turn on the lights and off.

To control power. You can use something like this Cole Hersee Solenoid Amazon.com: Cole Hersee 24117-01-BP 12V Continuous Duty Solenoid (4 Stud Hex Nut 20 Ul): Automotive

Then trigger it via key-on or a constant powered switch.

I use a Bussmann waterproof switched circuit breaker for the high amp stuff. Using the OEM subharness for key on power sources for winch and power steering relays.

80amp stinger between battery and fuse box using the clubs key on harness. That gives you a key on only fuse box
