How do I add an additional battery and isolate with the "Honda SWITCH PLATE HARNESS Part # 0SA30-HL4-100" ?
Just got a SxS10005mD - ordered the switch plate Harness, the "Honda FUSE BOX RELO BKT Part # 0SA30-HL4-100B" relocation bracket, ordered a KFI Winch Kit (Part [HASHTAG]#U4500[/HASHTAG] and [HASHTAG]#101285[/HASHTAG]) & Plow Kit (KFI# 105740, 105635 & 105072). I plan on adding a front light bar, rear LED cubes, a dome light and rewire the winch switch into the panel (using www.otrattw.net switches) and a radio into the power mix.
Just wondering if I add an additional battery what isolator should I use and what should I keep in mind so I wire it so it separates the the switch plate harness and radio off the main battery circuit ?
Great Machine and Most Appreciative of any/all advice !
I also use the True isolator and an Odyssey battery. 1000 miles, with lots of music/refreshment breaks and no issues. The Honda switch plate comes with its one PDM module which contains the fuses and relays. It needs to be connected to a pos and neg battery terminal. if you have two batteries, it will be your choice as to which battery you want to hook it to.
I like the True isolator.
Waterproof Velcro on the bottom or side will hold it in place just fine.I understand all about second batterys and isolators, as I have a houseboat, but my question is, how is everyone securing the second battery into the box. I purchased the 925 battery so it fits quite snugly in the box, however it can and will bounce up without a hold down strap.
That’s very cool right there!!!!Yuasa GYZ32HL- 500 CCA 32AH
It's a work horse of a battery.
I've also purchased a True Isolator.
Good day,
New to the forum and the Pioneer 1000.
I just bought an 18 1000 5 LE.
I'm adding a second battery. Just so happened I had a new spare Yuasa motorcycle battery that fits like a glove.

I'm just arm chair mechanicing to ask where is a good chassis ground to hook up the second battery and the isolator?
Thanks
And sorry about a redundant question.
Jim
Installed the Isolater to my second battery today, it works perfectly. My LE didnt seem to have a ground point handy like Hoover, so I drilled and tapped one under the left firewall. It will also simplify my fuse box and switch installation.
More to come when I get all my parts.
I also installed a dome/rear bed/backup light as well.
Thanks
