i started in it with a frogg, then the rc10 gold pan, have 4 of those. then rc10-t, 10-t GT, sc-10, a few losi's, and some others i can't remember. sure makes me feel old. i raced with Mcallister he lived around the corner from me. his pan car was the best on the market. raced all over CA with thunder drom, ranch pit stop, others i can't remember now. got rid of most my trophies. got out of RC and into racing dirtbikes.
i might have to dig them out and see if anyone them still work.

My first r/c was the raider buggy, I was started on r/c's at a very young age 4/5ish my dad has flown helicopters and planes since the 70's I have some fun stories about his shenanigans getting the cops called for flying a UFO disc it had the neighborhood in a panic thought they were being invaded it was sliver top and bottom and 4 feet round the flight controls were clear acrylic. My dads from Buffalo NY he used to tell me he had to launch r/c's by hand from his convertible in the winter the engines were too cold to start he ran the heater fired them up drop the top and launched them.

He has stories for days i need to go get some of his old photos and scan them. He has photos on a navy base flying r/c helicopters he had the plans for the ufo memorized it isn't a model you can buy he has photos of him building in various stages. The cops had a good laugh when they found out it was r/c they had enough calls they had to investigate it. He has slides of Vietnam and photos of his bombed bunker one slide he's holding a guitar the next slide its turned around the back is missing it was in the bunker.

What size nut holds the wheels on the SCX24? I don't have anything that small I have tires and rims for it.

Here’s a pic of my Maxx after running up a couple of battery packs. I made the mistake of letting my girls drive it. Now I’m looking at buying a couple of the 1/16 sized E-Revo models.

I bought 1/16 Summit tires for the mini-Revo and brought it on vacation to the mountains. I didn't get through 1 3s pack I sent the slipper up in flames. We were sitting by the fire and I found a deal on the X Maxx its a combo deal 2ea 4s lipos and a charger through R/C Superstore. I showed Jannine the deal then went looking for a hobby shop near us to try and buy a new slipper and she bought it on her phone then said merry Christmas.

I have a green X Maxx on the way.

Was going to mess around in my little course today. When I pulled it out, the foam had basically turned to dust in the attic lol. Apparently that cheap gap-filler foam in a can doesn't hold up well to 130*+

That’s unfortunate. I wouldn’t have guessed that.

It's been facing the hottest corner of the roof for going on 4 years now. It was literally a few cans of that gap filler yellow stuff on some particle board. I had silicon'd some branches and stuff on there and they all held, but the foam disintegrated when I touched it.
