Looking for some pictures of reverse light locations have X2 4" cube leds. But I can buy different lights if something catches my fancy.
Bimini top and rear fabric window going on soon

I put mine high up, modified the bracket to piggy back the seat belt bolts. I will take a picture.

I mounted mine up high as well. Shines a nice amount of light in the bed and works perfectly for backing up at night as well. Killed two birds with one stone so to speak. I wired them to a switch on a Mystic switch plate...

Two pairs. Ones surface mounted on body come on in Reverse only. Others below are switched only.

Did we ever figure out how to get them hooked up to reverse vs. their own switch?

Raise bed look up under floorboard towards the motor there is a two prong plug with a cap in it that's it

As an FYI the connector on the 700 is in a slightly different hidden location but should get someone in the ball park. I found it on mine but it’s been a couple of years now so details are blurry.

The 1000 is on a crossbar against the underside of the left passenger footwell between the frame rails. Much easier to get to on the 1000-3 than the 1000-5.

Don't know if this will help but here are the instructions for the backup alarm at least for a '15 700. Don't know if it has changed but this might help. Might be able to hook the lights up instead of the alarm, but it looks like there is a 3 prong black connector mid machine on the right side.

I mounted a led light on the quick clamp that secures the factory top. I had to lighty file one of the holes to line up the bracket to match the 2 factory holes. Plenty of light.

Mounted mine to the bolts that are right there. Very easy to install.
