P1000 blinking - on dash

we were out riding and the sxs will up shift in manual but when i went to manually down shift it wouldn't. about 5 seconds later the sxs died. put it in park and the gear postion showed park, the bike started right back up. put in in high then switched to manual and drove off. went to downshift a couple hundred feet later and it died agian. this time it is giving me a code. 2 slow blinks follwed by 4 fast blinks. now the bike will start in any gear and when i try to put in a gear it lurches forward and instantly dies. Any ideas? it wont let me upload the video but it is two slow blinks about 1.5 seconds between them then 4 fast blinks about .5 seconds each.

Sounds like you need to go to the dealer and have it flashed and reprogrammed. I had a funky issue right after getting mine and it solved it for me. It's been fine ever since. Just my 2 cents. I could be wrong.

Hello,
I would check as many connectors as you can. There have been a dozen reports of loose connections causing various problems. Start under the seat then under the hood.
If nothing, then take it in.

so i think i got it fixed. i took of the shift motor on the rear passenger side of the motor. tore it apart and cleaned it up and now its reading gear position and upshifitng and downshifting good now. ill try and update in a week to let everyone know how it goes. Thanks for all the help and how fast everyone replied!!
