Decided to add some storage to the 500 without spending much money. Most of the ideas came from this forum (thanks jak9922 and 500oneer!) I got all the stuff from walmart for about $15. 3 Gal black trash can, small black dish pan, large black dishpan, and rubbermaid caddy. See pics below:

Small and large dishpan. Had to cut the small one alot and wedge it up in there under the dash, thanks 500oneer.
Had to make radiator relief hose clearance for the large one by heating up plastic and forcing a notch ,then cooled it quickly in freezer. Seemed to hold its shape, not sure if it will last or not. I have not secured either as they both seem like a really tight fit with the hood on.

Took the plastic rivet out and ziptied this caddy in place around the rivet. Should work for phone, sunglasses, keys, etc. Might need to use stronger rivet or small bolt to last.

Standard under seat trash can mod, thanks jak9922.

I ordered one of these to put on the drivers hip bar, will add it to the post when it comes in. Broke the bank at $20 for this thing! It should fit nicely there.

Well.. Thats some cheap storage space there for sure. Seems Honda could of built something to go there.. But then again it would have been $60. lol.

Bought the Lowe's Hefty Hi Rise the other day! Thanks for the suggestion. Put all the tools, tow rope, and home made jumper cables in there. Saves the room in the back for beverages :)

Did the trash can and lowes storage bin today. Looks like if you got longer bolts for the fan you could mount the bin in there pretty secure. Going to give it a try.

I picked up the lowes bin today, much better than the dish pan! Dish pan is bigger but will likey get water in it. I am going to keep the small cut up dish pan under the dash for some items that can get wet, tow rope, etc.
