P500 Under Driver Seat Storage

New owner here. What are some of the ideas for using the space under the driver seat to carry tools etc? If a purchase is required an Amazon link would be nice. THX!

There's a pretty good DIY method floating around somewhere that uses a plastic wastebasket from walmart. I've had it in my 500 for years. I keep a few basic tools, quart of oil, and rags in there.

I don't have pictures from my old unit, but do some measurements and find high quality sealable containers for under the seat and especially under the hood.

Just recently did this too. Not sure what I'll put down there, but it is nice to have all that extra space.

If its plastic, you can deform the bottom away from brake lines with heat. I used a heat gun but a hair dryer might work.

I put heavy items in there, air compressor, water jug and 12v sprayer for on trail radiator and windshield wash. A lesson learned after Takeover.

Since Honda already made a side panel for the electric P500, they should offer one with a door. A missed opportunity with the P520. That door would be convenient.

@joeymt33 has a marine door mounted behind his feet on his P1k+.
Not a very good picture but it's what I have from a ride a few years ago.
As I recall he had a couple of ammo boxes in there so his stuff stayed dry.
