P1000 Clutch Recall on Pioneer 1000-3

Hello all,
I just purchased a 2016 Honda Pioneer 1000-3 EPS with 970 miles. I have read a lot of information on here about recalls and something about a “clutch update”. I am wondering if Honda will update the clutch free of charge on my 1000. I’m bringing it in to the dealer for safety recalls and would like to get this addressed while it was there.
What do I need to do to get this done? Can anybody on this website help me? What all should be done to my machine? I really enjoy it so far. It’s been my dream to own a Pioneer. I’ve had Hondas all my life!

Not sure if they'll go back that far on a recall? Free of charge anyways???
You should be able to just give dealer your VIN and any recall/issues should pop up in the system...

First have the dealer run the VIN, the clutch update may have been done already?

No they are done with the update campaign unfortunately.

The Clutch update was only offered for a set time. It was not a recall and had an end date for free installation.

Only recalls are infinite until all units are done.

If the update hasn't been done, make sure the dealer inspects the outer clutch for damage or you'll be right back in there.

P1000 - How to tell if Clutch update was done '17

I just purchased a new '17 1000 LE. The dealer said the clutch update was done. Based on past experience with this dealer I would feel better if I could confirm it in a way other than taking their word for it. Is there a way to confirm whether this machine has had it done or not?

It was a product bulletin which means choice of the manufacturer not a forced recall.

This gives me a lot of peace of mind because I was concerned about it for the future. They will also be performing all the recalls when I bring it in, in a couple weeks, along with servicing all the fluids and filters. There’s about 4 recalls or so that need to be done.

Yes indeed. It also has the cabin comfort kit installed that protects you from steam. Got 4 recalls to take care of at the dealer next week then it’ll be good to go!
